Fernando Martinez is a culture writer and cultural critic currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has previously worked as an editorial assistant at SFGATE and an editorial intern at Do The Bay. While studying at San Francisco State University, Martinez majored in the Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts (BECA), with areas of emphasis in media theory and criticism, screenwriting, and video production, as well as minoring in both political science and journalism.
